Alice Margaret Clevinger also known as Naynay, age 78, of Mabank, Texas passed away on October 15, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She is now at rest and with her greatest loves, her Lord and savior and her beloved husband, James Edgar Clevinger of 17 years, who passed away on December 17, 1994.

Alice was born in Brownfield, Texas on January 20, 1945, to John Elijah and Lillie Pearl (Wallace) Hopkins. She had a heart full of love for everyone she knew. She loved spending time working in the flower beds. Alice enjoyed spending time with her family. Alice was the most kindhearted and always willing to help anyone in need. She was an amazing cook, especially known for her “Sock It To Me” cake. Alice could also make some amazing pies. She loved being outdoors, especially going fishing or camping. Alice always loved to watch David Jermiah, a preacher on the television. She enjoyed watching Elvis movies or her favorite football team, Dallas Cowboys. Alice would always state that she would never forget her grandson, Richard Cameron Mitchell taking her to a Cowboys game, or the time the family took a trip to Graceland. Alice retired from Gowin Industries after 40 years as a supervisor over hot stamping calendars. After that she began working at Whatz-Up Family Fun Park where she would clean the location until she could no longer work, leaving behind great memories as all of the kids knew her as Naynay.
