Amanda Kaye Carpenter

Amanda Carpenter, 46, of Kemp, TX passed away on June 17, 2024. Amanda was born on July 8, 1977, to Robert and Sherry Carpenter in Pasadena, TX. She grew up in Mexia, TX as a child and in Malakoff as a teenager. Amanda worked for Shelby Packaging as a supervisor for 10 years, as waitress and bartender at several restaurants, the post office and home health care. She was a free spirit who loved to be with her family and friends. Amanda could fish all day, even if she didn’t catch anything and enjoyed going swimming. Her most precious time was spent with her kids and especially her grandkids. She was a beloved Mother, and Grandmother. 

Her grandmothers, Jimmy Lou Webb and Roxy Jordan; her sister-in-law, Jennifer McCrorey, and her cousins, Shannon Langley and Emmett Quimby preceded her in death. 

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Michaela Marcotte and husband Daniel and Kinsey Hefley and husband Michael; 6 grandchildren; parents, Sherry Sawyer and Curtis; Robert Carpenter and Stormy; siblings, Tiffany Molina, Brian Taylor, Robert Carpenter Jr., Ashley Webb, and Josh Webb; multiple nieces and nephews; numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
