Baudelia Vasquez Guzman

Baudelia Vasquez Guzman, age 88, passed away on September 19, 2026, in Kemp, Texas. She was born on May 20, 1938, in Ennis, Texas to parents Jesse and Dominga Vasquez.

Baudelia was a very sweet person who cared deeply for others and was always willing to help any way she could. She was funny and silly, though at times she could also be very serious. Those who knew Baudelia remember a kind soul who was polite, understanding, and always so sweet. She was also hard to surprise, and she had a way of meeting life with both humor and strength.

Baudelia did not complete her formal education, but she was very smart and a quick learner. She was the first to laugh at herself if she made a mistake, a quality that reflected both her humility and her warmth. In her work, she would often receive compliments for doing a good job, and that steady effort was part of the way she cared for the people around her.

Baudelia’s family will remember that she always provided for her children. She was a fighter, and she could improvise when necessary, doing what needed to be done with determination and love. She checked on the people she loved to make sure they were doing okay, and that concern for others was one of the clearest expressions of who she was.

Baudelia also enjoyed simple pleasures. She loved playing bingo, especially when she won. She liked going around to visit her brother, sisters, and friends, and those visits were part of the way she stayed close to the people who mattered most to her.

Baudelia is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Dominga Vasquez; her daughter, Florence Vasquez; her son, Navor John Garcia; and her siblings.

Baudelia is survived by her daughters, Veronica Salas and Martha Enslin; brother, Ramon Vasquez; sister, Janie Olalde; sister, Elvira Espinoza; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
