Camden "Buddy" Tyler Johnson

Camden “Buddy” Tyler Johnson, lovingly known as CJ, passed away May 14, 2026, in Grand Saline, Texas, at the tender age of seven. CJ was born on September 12, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Crystal (Gurley) and Jonathan Johnson.

CJ enjoyed the freedom of the outdoors, watching Cocomelon and Mickey Mouse.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to CJ’s host mom, Skye Young and husband Brad; Jessica- the director of nursing with “At Home Home Health”,; the entire Home Health Care Team over the years; Audiology & vision Team, Physical, occupational, & speech Therapists, Private Duty Nurses; all the Doctors, nurses, Specialists & care staff at Cook Children’s Medical Center; the staff and volunteers at Ronald McDonald House; and Berry Family Services, for the care he was given in his homes away from home.

CJ is survived by his parents, Crystal and Jonathan Johnson; brother, Bryson Derrick; sister, Ariss Derrick; grandfather, Robert Gurley; uncle, Robert Irvin Gurley; a niece, and a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his uncle, Justin Tyler Johnson; grandmother, Donna Gurley; and great-grandmother, Corma “Nana” Pogue.
