Frances Marie Haertel, age 77, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on April 24, 2026. She was born on December 17, 1948, to William Francis Sulley and Margaret Merry in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Frances preferred to be known as Fran. She was retired from a career with the US Environmental Protection Agency, working in water supply. She enjoyed pottery, drawing/painting, her garden, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Frances is survived by her husband, Edward Francis Haertel, daughter Jean Ann Haertel and sons Frederick J. Haertel and Karl L. Haertel; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 6 sisters. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Margaret and 2 brothers.
