James Douglas Stein

James Douglas Stein was born to parents Frank and Doris (Elliott) Stein in Fairbury, Illinois on January 20, 1939 and passed on September 4, 2026 at the age of 87, in Kemp, Texas. 

James completed an Associates degree in engineering and worked as a customer liaison in quality assurance at Texas Instruments. James married Dotty Dean (Jamerson) Stein and they resided in Kemp, Kaufman County, Texas.

James was preceded in death by his father, Frank Stein and mother, Doris Stein; his son, James Stein; his son, Dale Horton; his daughter, Karla Vanderwock; and his brother, David Stein.

James is survived by his spouse, Dotty Stein of Kemp, Texas; his daughter, Linda Diette; his daughter, Kathey Easley of Winnsboro, Texas; his granddaughter, Katy Easley of Kemp, Texas; his granddaughter, Sarah Wallis of Kemp, Texas; his grandson, Robert Vanderwock of South Carolina; his grandson, Daniel Vanderwock of South Carolina; his nephew, Marshall Burns and wife April Burns of Gun Barrel City, Texas; his nephew, John Brooks of Kemp, Texas; and his niece, Kristi Zimmerman of Oregon; niece, Cheryl Stein Walker of Illinois; nephew, Dennis Stein of Arizona; niece, Cindy Stein of Florida; and niece, Sandra Stein of Florida.
