Jeanne Chapman

Jeanne Chapman, 73, passed away on May 3, 2023, in Athens, TX. Jeanne was born in Dallas TX, on May 21, 1949, to Richard and Billie (Burton) Evans.

Jeanne married her husband and best friend, Marcus Chapman on July 12, 1991, in Las Vegas. She worked as a billing agent for Lonestar Gas and TXU for most of her career. Jeanne was a Christian by faith, and her free time was often spent reading, gardening, mowing, junk’n, cooking, and her favorite pastime of all, being a Nene. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marcus Chapman; her parents, Richard and Billie Evans; and her brother, Eldon (Bubba) Evans.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, Clint and Katie Tucker of Fischer, TX; Bryan and Shawna Tucker of Brownsboro, TX; and Aaron and Jenna Chapman of Corpus Christi, TX; her grandchildren, Ricky Tucker, Taylor Tucker, Tanner Chapman, Shayden Jennings, and Shyanne Jennings; great-grandchildren, Tatum Tucker, Katii Tucker, Kellii Tucker, and Ryder Jennings; sister Betty and spouse Jimmy Philpot of Kemp, TX; nieces Kellie Gunnels  of Kemp, TX, Debbie King of Kemp, TX, and Darla Evans of Forney, TX.
