John Kevin Nieto

John Kevin Nieto, age 28, passed away on July 17, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born in Athens, Texas, on October 13, 1997, to parents Juan Ubaldo Nieto and Maricruz (Briones) Nieto.

John was a proud graduate of Mabank High School and built a successful career in the automotive industry, where his dedication and leadership allowed him to continually advance. He later earned his apprenticeship license in plumbing, a testament to his strong work ethic and determination. Above all else, John was a devoted husband, son, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his free spirit, strength, patience, kindness, outgoing personality, loving heart, and unwavering support of those he loved. He was also a natural leader and protector to his wife and loved ones. His goofy sense of humor, bright smile, and warm, comforting hugs left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. John had a passion for soccer and enjoyed watching the game no matter which team was playing. He loved spending time playing Xbox with his online friends, collecting watches, hats, action figures, swords, and lightsabers, and was always happy to be the one manning the grill at family gatherings. Some of his favorite moments were movie nights and date nights with his beloved wife. Among John's happiest memories were the late-night talks in the car when he and his wife first began dating, the day he proposed at the dinosaur museum, the joy of their wedding day, learning he was going to become a father, and fulfilling a lifelong dream of seeing his favorite soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, play in person during a World Cup match. He often spoke with excitement about the future they were building together and looked forward to raising their children and growing old with the love of his life.

John is survived by his loving wife, Nitzia Norely Nieto and their unborn child of Mabank, Texas; parents, Juan Ubaldo Nieto and Maricruz Nieto; and his sisters, Jacqueline Shatley & Jasmine Singh

Though his life was far too short, John's love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him forever.
