Larry Michael “Mike” Hawkins, 71, passed away on October 18, 2023, in Kemp, Texas. He was born on December 23, 1951, in Leake County, Mississippi to parents Gene and Laverne (Wilcher) Hawkins Brantley.

Mike is survived by his wife, Deanna Hawkins of Kemp, Texas; son, Ray Hawkins of Kemp, Texas; step-daughters, Meagan Morris of Hope, Arkansas, Tiffany Garcia and husband Chris of Fort Worth, Texas; step-son, James Ellis of Oklahoma; sister, Pam Anderson of California; aunt, Jan of Mississippi; grandchildren, Caden Lee, Trenten Lee, Leanna Lee, and Adaline Lee of Hope, Arkansas, Latasha Pickle and Micah Pickle of Kemp, Texas, Lalani Tamaalerea of Washington, Colby Hawkins, Dugan Hawkins, Justin Hawkins of Kemp, Texas, Daniel Garcia of Fort Worth, Texas, Natalie Ellis of Oklahoma, Madison Ellis of Kemp, Texas Chloe Ellis of Sherman, Texas and Haylee Ellis of Oklahoma.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Gene Hawkins and Laverne Hawkins Brantley; and his step-dad, James Brantley .
