Mallard Sherbert, Jr., known by many as Junior, passed away on November 9, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. Born on November 2, 1952, in Dallas, Texas to Mallard and Ethel Marie (Horton) Sherbert Sr.
Junior was a talented cabinet maker and woodworker, dedicating much of his professional life to Redman, which later became Champion Homes. His skill with wood was exceptional, and he took pride in the pieces he crafted, reflecting both his talent and his love for the craft. Outside of work, Junior cherished spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing trips and other outdoor activities, creating lasting memories with his loved ones. He found joy in watching westerns, immersing himself in stories of adventure and the great outdoors, which mirrored his own spirit. Junior's warm personality and passion for woodworking touched the lives of many, and he will be remembered for his dedication to his craft and his family.
Mallard is preceded in death by his cherished wife Rita Sherbert, his parents Mallard and Ethel Sherbert Sr.; granddaughter, Maegan Scrivner; and siblings, Imogene Taylor, Geraldine Blackwell, James Sherbert, Charles Sherbert, Lavita Clements, Jimmy Sherbert, and Patricia Sherbert
He is survived by his children, Sheila Scrivner and husband Ronnie, Angela Hinkle and husband Scott, and Jason Sherbert and wife Rita; grandchildren, Elisabeth Sherbert, Michelle Burroughs, Abigail Sparks, Joshua Hinkle, Nicholas Hinkle, Zachary Hinkle, and Jessica Hinkle; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Donald Sherbert, Sandra McCutcheon, Caroline Jones, Barbara Ann Green, and Dorothy Blackwell; his dogs, Sasha, Mia, and Ringo.
