Misty Rachelle Parks

Misty Rachelle Parks, 49, passed away on May 21, 2024, at her home in Kemp, Texas. She was born on May 29, 1974, in Abingdon, Virginia to parents Billy Steven Parks and Linda Sue (Day) Boyd.

Misty had a quiet personality and liked to keep to herself. She was a good mechanic and had a knack for fixing things. Misty found the most joy in caring for her beloved cats, she often jokingly called herself, “The Crazy Cat Lady.” 

Misty was a wonderful daughter and great helper to her mom, Linda. She also adored her brother, Jonathan Michael Boyd, and treasured their bond dearly. Misty will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Misty is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as her father, Billy Parks. 
She is survived by her loving mother, Linda Boyd and husband Greg of Kemp, Texas; her special "little brother," Brantley Boyd of Kemp, Texas; her aunts, Denise Boyd of Kemp, Texas, Vicki Boyd of Kemp, Texas, and Rhonda Parks Culbertson and husband Tim of Kingsport, Tennessee; her uncles, Michael Glen Boyd of Dallas, Texas and Jack Kenneth Boyd of Kemp, Texas; as well as numerous other extended family and her close friends.
