Ray Charles Reese

Ray Charles Reese was born to parents Douglas Jr. and Ruby Faye (Henson) Reese on January 24, 1961 and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 with his loving wife Debbie by his side. Ray was a hard working and devoted husband and father who had a huge heart. He was kind, loving, and giving to anyone he met. Ray enjoyed being outdoors and going fishing. He loved his Dr. Pepper and going to the casinos to do a little gambling. Ray and Debbie enjoyed playing games, their favorites were Aggravation and Skip Bo.  He was an amazing person who had a wonderful laugh and a beautiful smile. Ray was an incredibly loving husband and a gentleman who took great pride in caring for his wife for over 20 years. There really aren’t enough words to describe how a lot of us feel about Ray, he was a special person to many of us and he will be greatly missed. Ray, until we see you again….we love you!

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Jr. and Ruby Reese; brothers Willie James Reese and Johnny Cale Reese; and sisters Sandra Carol Reese Greer, Brenda Faye Fontenue Reese, Doretha Rena Reese, and Ruby Lee Reese Roberts.

Ray is survived by his wife Debbie Truly; daughter Latasha Reese and grandaughter Latrece Wren; sisters Erma Reese Davis (Archie), Gwen Ester (Clyde), Dorothy Reese Merrill, Irastine Reese Preston (Cedric), and Mary Reese; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and many, many friends who love and will miss him dearly.
