Wade J. Dalrymple

Sonny “Sonny” James Dalrymple was born on April 13, 1935, in the Aley Community to parents Jimmy "J.D." and Lorena (Turner) Dalrymple and entered into eternal rest on November 18, 2025, at the age of 90.

Sonny spent many years behind the barber's chair, where he not only cut hair but also shared stories and laughter with his customers. His happy demeanor was infectious, making every visit to the barbershop a little brighter. He had a unique ability to connect with people, leaving them with a smile long after they left his chair.Outside of work, Sonny enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He had a great love for nature, often taking long, leisurely walks in the pasture, soaking up the beauty around him. These moments helped him recharge and found him in deep appreciation of the world we live in.Sonny was truly a loving man, always ready to lend a helping hand, and famously known for his willingness to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Sonny is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Lorena Dalrymple, as well as 10 brothers and sisters.

Sonny is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other extended family members and friends.
