William Edward Reasonover was born to Charles Edward Reasonover Jr. and Alta Juanita Cain in Terrell, TX on August 6, 1943. He went to be with our Lord on June 15, 2024 in Tyler, Texas.
William attended Seagraves High School and went to work with his father on the family farms in Terry and Gaines Counties helping to send his three younger siblings to college. After his parents retired and moved back to East Texas where they were raised, he moved back with them and worked 21 years for Kaufman County until his retirement.
William was a faithful Christian all his life. Baptized at the age of 13 he was a member of Seagraves Church of Christ and Seven Points Church of Christ. He was a very generous kind and gentle person. He took pride in always being honest and fair when it came to business dealings. He loved to hunt and was a craftsman of beautiful hand-built knives. Most of his knives he gave as gifts to family and friends. His brother and sisters appreciate William for his dedication to their parents. While they were off fulfilling family life and careers, he was by their parents’ side when each one passed away. And for this, his siblings will always love him.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by brother, James Glen Reasonover of Kemp, two sisters, Myra Kent and husband Leonard of Tyler, Alta Owens and husband Larry of Hedley, nieces and nephews; Katherine Carter and husband Lyle of Flint, TX, Laura Owens of Canyon, James Edward Kent and wife Geneva of Flint, TX, Charles Donald Owens of Hedley, great nephews, Benjamin Cash Carter, Charles Edward Owens, Connor James Owens, Caden Keohane Owens and John Edward Kent.
